If you sunbathe, the natural sun can give you vitamin E, but it may also cause skin cancer. Which option sounds more appealing? Fruits and vegetables contain natural pigmentation. When you eat a carrot, as an example, the natural color is absorbed in your skin. This pigmentation, called carotenoid, can make you look more attractive and healthier than the sun.

Maintain your weight during the summertime. Eating vegetables and fruits not only give you a natural glow, but they can trim down your waistline. Fruit and veggies can certainly take the place of unnatural sweets and make you feel fulfilled. A banana or grapefruit for breakfast can fill you up until lunch time. Of course, you will need to eat legumes for a more balanced diet. Avoid starchy and fatty foods. These foods make you uncomfortable during the summer months and do not compliment any figure. Salty foods also are the culprit to de-vitalizing your body.

Stay hydrated and drink healthier beverages. Try to avoid alcoholic beverages, which only dehydrate you. Opt for beverages such as lemonade made with real lemons. Drinking plenty of water is more essential than drinking beer when you're feeling thirsty. When you need an energy boost, drink Gatorade or water with minerals. Stay away from heavy drinks with high sugar content.

Your skin craves moisture, so keep it revitalized. While having fun at the beach, be sure to protect your skin. Your skin requires more moisture in the summer months, and protecting your skin from sun exposure is fundamental. There are three conditions linked to sun damage. First, you could get a skin reaction when the UV rays interact with a particular medication you're taking. Secondly, depending on a certain chemical or fragrance on your skin, you could get an allergic reaction resulting in a rash. Finally, after much sun-induced exposure, your immune system can weaken, altering your skin to become red, itchy and blistering.

Wearing light-colored attire is vital to deflecting the sun. If you don't normally use sun block, you must at least wear clothing to prevent sun exposure. A white long-sleeved shirt will keep you just as cool as a short-sleeved shirt.

Wear something on your head to prevent sun damage. Hats of all shapes and sizes are very popular. Even men wear baseball caps more readily these days. Not only will you look fashionable, you can divert the sun from your face.
